Louis started his career as an equipment engineer at AT&T in 1997. He joined the search sector in 2000 with HRnet One followed by HR Partners. In 2013, Louis founded Forward Search Consulting (a boutique executive recruitment innovator focusing on Executive Search and Professional Staffing in Asia Pacific) together with a team of veteran consultants

As the Managing Partner overseeing both the Singapore and China offices, Louis leads a team of consultants specialising in different industries and functions. He has personally handled countless senior-level searches

Louis graduated with 1st Class Honours in Communication and Electronics Engineering.

Paul Law

Paul comes with diversified working experiences from Finance, HR, Information Technology, Property to Sales & Management from 1998 to 2014.

He joined Forward Search Consulting in 2015 as a Senior Consultant focusing on Executive Search and Professional Staffing in Asia Pacific. He is currently in charge of recruitment, finance, HR and administration for both the Singapore and China offices. And also focusing on business development and key account management.

Paul graduated with Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Bachelor of Computing (Information System) in 1998.

He became a Partner of Forward Search Consulting China in 2018.

Bernice Tey

Bernice crossed over to the search industry in 2007. She spent her first 10 years with full retainer firms. She was with HR Partners managing full retainer project delivery, before moving on to be Engagement Manager with BTI Consultant, and Research Manager with The People At Work. Both scopes specialising fully on mid-senior to C-Suites positions across APAC.

She joined Forward Search Consulting in 2016 as 360 Principal Consultant and has since successfully executed retainer, mapping projects and contingent searches in the region, across sectors, functions and levels. Her retainer research ability enables her to take on challenging searches.

She started her early career as Quality Assurance Engineer, then as Market Research Ops director and was also with 2 NGOs.

Bernice graduated with a Diploma in Mechanical and Manufacturing.

She became a Partner of Forward Search Consulting in 2019.

James Yuan

Partner, Greater China

James joined the search industry in 2013. Prior to that, he was doing automotive engine mechanical design and manufacturing in the industrial sector

He joined Forward Search Consulting China in 2015 as a 360 Consultant. Equipped with a solid technical background and regional search experience across Greater China, he is able to undertake a diversified range of search work

James graduated with a Master’s Degree in Electric Automation Engineering.

He became a Partner of Forward Search Consulting China in 2020.

Tristan Sim

Tristan joined our team in 2021. He has had extensive public and private sector experience. He has 16 years of leadership experience in the Police force, including Command positions, Operations, Media Relations, Policy-making and Investigations. His private sector experience includes working for GLC, SME, Chinese Enterprise and Technology Start-ups.

Tristan graduated from Monash University with a 2nd Upper Honours in Economics and a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy. He was sponsored by the Police Force for a full-time Masters in Public Management at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, and was awarded the Dean’s List. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from IPAM and Adelaide University.

He became a Partner of Forward Search Consulting Vietnam in 2022.
